Waiver
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING
By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the Diwali Celebration organized by the Indian Students Association at Auburn University, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in this event involves certain risks, including but not limited to:
Accidents or injuries during performances, activities, or while moving around the venue
Illness or allergic reactions related to food or environment
Slips, trips, or other unforeseen incidents
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in this event.
2. Release of Liability
I hereby release and hold harmless Auburn University, the Indian Students Association, and all their officers, members, representatives, volunteers, and staff from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities for injury, illness, property loss, or damages that may occur as a result of my participation in this event.
3. Personal Responsibility
I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my own conduct and personal property during the event. I agree to follow all event rules and directions provided by organizers and venue staff.
4. Medical Authorization
In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, I authorize representatives of the Indian Students Association or Auburn University to obtain medical treatment on my behalf. I understand that I am responsible for any costs incurred and that Auburn University does not provide medical, dental, or life insurance for participants.
5. Transportation
If I travel to or from the event using my own or another’s private vehicle, I understand that Auburn University and the event organizers are not responsible for safety, reliability, or liability associated with such transportation.
6. Minors
Participants under the age of 19 must have a parent or legal guardian read and agree to these terms on their behalf. Parents and guardians are fully responsible for their minor children’s conduct, safety, and participation at the event.
7. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Any legal action relating to this agreement must be brought in Lee County, Alabama.
